On 11 December 2025, the Community Relations Team represented Unithai Shipyard & Engineering Ltd. at the opening ceremony of the fieldwork group project organized by students of King Prajadhipok’s Institute, the ceremony was held at Baan Nakao Community and was presided over by Mr. Saichon Chaothai, Deputy Mayor of Laem Chabang City Municipality.
The project aims to provide students with hands-on field experience in developing a group action project on household waste management prior to disposal into local waterways. Baan Nakao Community serves as the pilot area, with plans to expand the initiative to surrounding communities.
Students from Laemchabang Municipality School 2, Laemchabang Municipality School 3, and Baan Na School (Fin Wittayakhom), along with the chairpersons of Baan Nakao, Baan Namai, and Baan Laemthong communities, as well as local residents, actively participated in the event. The activity was designed to enhance knowledge, foster understanding of local environmental issues, and instill environmental consciousness in youth and community members, with the goal of jointly developing sustainable community-based solutions.
