On Wednesday, 5 August 2026, at 8:30 a.m., Mr. Chen Yong, Managing Director, together with Ms. Kanchanawadee Pakdee, Chief Financial Officer, Asset Value Added Management, of Unithai Shipyard & Engineering Ltd., attended the 167th Anniversary Celebration of the Marine Department at the Marine Department Headquarters in Bangkok.
On this occasion, the Company made a charitable contribution to the Marine Department’s Public Charity Fund to support a variety of social welfare initiatives, including activities for the elderly, underprivileged children, and persons with disabilities, as well as other community development programs. This contribution reflects Unithai Shipyard’s commitment to enhancing quality of life and creating sustainable social value for communities.
The anniversary celebration was held to honor and commemorate the gracious contributions of His Majesty King Mongkut (Rama IV), who laid the foundation for Thailand’s water transportation system, establishing a stable and well-organized maritime network that continues to play a vital role in the nation’s economic growth and maritime development.
The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Kritphet Chaichuay, Director-General of the Marine Department, who graciously received the donation on behalf of the Department. The event was conducted in a spirit of strong collaboration between the public and private sectors, reflecting their shared commitment to social responsibility and the sustainable development of the country.
