Unithai Shipyard & CUEL organized the New Occupational Training for 11 locals surrounding On Thursday 26 October 2023, Unithai Shipyard & Engineering Limited together with CUEL Limited, conducted culinary classes “Braised Chicken Noodles” and “Shrimp dumpling”, under the New Occupational Training Project with the aim of encouraging job creation and generating incomes for nearby 11 community members and also Unithai Shipyard and CUEL’s family members, Khun Punluek Kittisares, Managing Director of Unithai Shipyard & Engineering was presided over the ceremony. The project was kicked off in 2018 by cooperative effort among the Chief of 11 communities (Baan Laemchabang, Baan Tung, Baan Ao Udom, Tarad Ao Udom, Wat Manorom, Laemthong, Baan Nakao, Baan Namai, Baan Tungkard, Baan Namanow and Baan Banglamung) and Unithai Shipyard and CUEL Team to discuss on Community Development Plan Requirements, one of the development plan, to develop the community economic and encouraging job creation to all unemployed or housewife locals to attend classes at Matichon Academy. Since year 2020, the company has further developed the project by coordinating by voluntary trainees to be the culinary instructors sharing cooking skills and standardized recipes which can be adapted for commercial purposes. Ms. Sunisa Rattanawong, one of the trainees in 2018, was nominated to be the culinary instructor for this year teaching how to cook the “Braised Chicken Noodles” and “Shrimp dumpling” on 26 October 2023.
