Unithai Shipyard & Engineering Limited Supports the Mangrove and Coastal Conservation Project Phase 3 in Laem Chabang Community

On Friday, August 1, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at the Laem Chabang Community Mangrove Learning Center, Lt. Apichet Boonpuan (RTN), Assistant to Managing Director of Unithai Shipyard & Engineering Ltd., together with the Community Relations team, participated in the Mangrove and Coastal Conservation Project Phase 3 organized by Laem Chabang Port.
The event featured the release of shrimp and sea bass fingerlings, along with a joint donation from the Port Operators to support 20,000 baht donated to the Project to repair of a deteriorated wooden walkway bridge, converting it into a concrete structure. The donation ceremony was presided over by Mr. Darut Kamwichitthanapha, Board Member of the Port Authority of Thailand, and attended by executives from Laem Chabang Port, the Port Authority of Thailand, Mr. Wara Thanomrod, President of the Laem Chabang Community, Port Operators, and Public-Private Sector partners from the surrounding area.
The project aims to restore the damaged wooden walkway in the Laem Chabang Mangrove forest, which currently poses safety risks to any visitors. Many ongoing activities was hosted in the forest such as forest planting, aquatic animal release, and mangrove clean-up have significantly enriched the ecosystem, attracting diverse plant species and aquatic life. The revitalized mangrove area now serves as a valuable natural learning center for youth and local residents.
