On April 4, 2024, Thailand celebrates Songkran, also known as the Water Festival. This significant festival takes place annually from April 13 to 16. Songkran marks the Thai New Year and is a time for family reunions and honoring elders. Many people have an extended holiday during this period, allowing them to visit relatives who may have moved away for work.

During Songkran, traditional customs include making merit by offering food to monks and pouring water over the hands of revered elders. It’s a beautiful way to preserve cultural heritage and strengthen bonds within the community.

United Thai Shipping Corporation Limited recognizes the importance of Songkran and organized a Thai Tradition Songkran event for its employees on April 4-5. Nopadon Mantajit, Chairman of Unithai Group, presided over the event, allowing employees to participate in the water pouring ceremony and receive blessings. This celebration serves as a reminder to cherish our rich traditions and foster unity within the organization.
