Unithai Shipyard celebrates 2,000th ship repair order

Unithai Shipyard was recently awarded its 2,000th contract for repairing a vessel in dry dock, another significant milestone for the business, since the yard received its 1,000th repair order in 2006. Unithai Shipyard repairs an average of 100 vessels per year and, if repair operations afloat are also tallied, it doubles the number of orders on track.

“Unithai is recognised by ship owners worldwide for the best-quality service it offers, on-time delivery and a high safety standard,” says one of the shipyard’s long-time customers.

Throughout its 25th-anniversary year, Unithai Shipyard has maintained its strong commitment to continuously developing and improving its capabilities in providing excellent service to our clients. “We works closely and in partnership with the owners to determine their needs and to satisfy their requirements”, says Managing Director Teerapon Udomkanjanana. With a highly skilled workforce and professional project teams, Unithai Shipyard has expanded to offer a wide portfolio of services for offshore structures, oil and gas modules to clients around the world.

The firm maintains a balance between business growth and respect for the community as well as its stakeholders. The company remains dedicated to the spirit of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in all aspects of its activities, embedding the philosophy within its corporate culture and continuously meeting or exceeding international standards.

Unithai Shipyard has earned the Ministry of Industry’s CSR Continuous Award for the past four consecutive years and has recorded 3,000 days without any environmental claims being lodged by outside parties. The company has been putting its best efforts into developing its business and organisation in order to grow while serving the community, as enshrined in its mission statement: “To serve human well-being and create wealth at the same time.”
